Hawzah News Agency - The Holy Quran considers the pleasure of Allah as the greatest reward for believers, stating:
Allah has promised the faithful, men and women, gardens with streams running in them, to remain in them [forever], and good dwellings in the Gardens of Eden. Yet Allah’s pleasure is greater [than all these]; that is the great success. (9: 72)
Explanation:
Among all worldly and heavenly blessings, the rank of Allah's pleasure surpasses everything. In other words, if someone seeks only Allah's pleasure in their affairs, they have truly acquired all the blessings, beauties, and rewards of both this world and the Hereafter.
If someone acts for purposes other than seeking Allah’s pleasure, they will gain nothing but loss and regret. This is because, throughout life, human beings encounter three types of satisfaction: the satisfaction of the self, the satisfaction of others, and the satisfaction of Allah.
Indeed, seeking the satisfaction of self and others is permissible as long as it aligns with Allah's satisfaction. However, if a person acts for purposes other than pleasing Allah, they will face loss in both this world and the Hereafter.
A man from Kufa (Iraq) once wrote a letter to Imam Hussain, Peace Be Upon Him, asking: "What is the good of this world and the Hereafter?"
Imam Hussain, Peace Be Upon Him, after praising and glorifying Allah, replied:
"Whoever seeks Allah's pleasure, even at the displeasure of people, Allah will make them needless of the people. But whoever seeks the pleasure of people by displeasing Allah, Allah will leave them to the people."
(Bihar Anwar, v.68, p. 208)
Indeed, if someone is left to themselves or to the people whose sole concern was to please them, they will lose all their possessions.
The Path to Meeting Imam Mahdi (May Allah Hasten His Reappearance)
In Du'a Nudba, we address Imam Mahdi, May Allah Hasten His Reappearance, with these words:
"O son of Ahmad! Is there a way to meet you?"
To find the answer to this question, we turn to the noble Hadith of Mi'raj. In part of this Hadith, the reward for those who act for Allah's pleasure is mentioned.
Allah says to the Prophet, Peace Be Upon Him and His Family:
"Whoever acts according to My pleasure, I will grant them three characteristics:
The third characteristic is this:
I will instill in them a love that will never allow them to prefer the love of creation over My love. When they embrace My love in their hearts, I will love them, and I will open the eyes of their hearts to My Majesty and Glory. I will not keep My special servants hidden from them."
(Bihar Anwar, v.74, p. 21)
Is there anyone in this era more special among Allah's servants than Imam Mahdi (May Allah Hasten His Reappearance)?
In the era of occultation, where for divine wisdom, Almighty Allah has placed our Imam behind the veil of concealment, by adhering to this divine condition ("Whoever acts according to My pleasure"), we may—if it is Allah's will—be blessed with the honor of meeting the Imam.
